On this peninsula, south of the town of Crozon, lies a beautiful battery. Follow the road leading to the tip of the peninsula. The bunkers are easy to find, just walk along the path around the point and the modern observation post of the French Army.
This battery is originally French, re-used by the Germans during the war. Nowadays one of the emplacements is re-used again for a memorial purpose. Four emplacements have been built for a 15cm gun. A fire-control bunker and the remains of a so called 'Revolving SK bunker. (so called "Waldam")' tower (huge casemate) are also present. One of the emplacements is still open while the other three are closed; the inside looks absolutely beautiful with the mechanism for the transport of the ammunition still in place, lots of doors and other original parts are present. The fire-control bunker is also open but damaged. Several levels for observation and measuring have been built and can be visited.
